A. Ground includes signal ground, chassis ground (frame ground), and earth ground.
In relation to electronic circuits, signal grounding is done to define the reference potential (0V) of circuits and systems, and chassis grounding prevents radiation of noise induced in a metal case or prevents electric shock caused by the case.
Failure to the ground may cause malfunctions due to noise and unnecessary electromagnetic waves, so it must be considered during the design stage.
Also, since the grounding part is contaminated and noise can reversely enter the circuit, series grounding, parallel grounding, single-point grounding, multi-point grounding, etc. must be applied.
If the ground wire is long, it can act as an antenna that radiates electromagnetic waves, so the ground wire should be as short as possible.
Depending on the frequency characteristics, a method using a capacitor or an inductor may be used.
